The last time I visited The Centre was in the early 90’s – I was an in-the-closet teacher at the time – so it was an extraordinary experience to find this oasis of acceptance and safety. I remember mostly the huge range of publications, posters and fliers all about liberation and education. So, 30 odd years later, great to have the opportunity to visit again and meet with Mary Steyer, Senior Director of Communications who gave me an overview of their huge range of work which includes health, education, specialist support, careers advice and advocacy.
