Over the past three years over 400 members of staff and PhD students have participated in the two-hour workshops needed to be an LGBTQ+ Ally. An extraordinary commitment given the demands of their day jobs and hybrid working. And even more respect to those existing Allies who have signed up to ‘Allies 2’ workshpops which look closely at case studies and the practical actions that Allies can take to help LGBTQ+ colleagues be the best they can be in the workplace.
Thank you Finance Department who invited me to speak to 120 colleagues at their awayday just before Christmas, and to People and Organisational Development for the opportunity to run a bespoke session for their all-staff meeting.
